Sometime ago Martin acquired a dove cote for me. With a slate roof and painted in black and white it matched our house in Sale perfectly and I loved it. The birds didn’t!  We tempted them with all sorts of tasty treats, seeds and nuts but still it was ignored. 

In 2020 we had time on our hands and one project we undertook was to reinstate the vegetable plot at the bottom of the garden, the dove  cote made a perfect centre piece but something was missing…. doves! 

A little twisting later and a trio of fan tailed doves were ready to take up residence.
