Thom Tit – 2018

Fiddling with a left over bit of wire twist, a little bird formed in my hand.
A scarred branch caught my eye when rummaging through Richards wood pile and became the perfect mount, well almost!
Buffing up the wood I noticed some discolouration, Thom wasn’t the only occupant of the branch! Grubs removed, Thom was wrapped up in a shoe box and placed under the Christmas tree as a gift for Dad. An admirer noticed some rather colourful additions to the piece, more bugs had hatched! After being quarantined in a Royal Doulton jardiniere for several weeks and several bugs later, Thom sits now proudly on Dads mantlepiece amongst his collection of Royal Worcester birds.
