An iconic Scottish image, highland cattle have made great subjects for artists over the years, like Royal Worcester’s John Stinton who painted them onto delicate porcelain grazing in misty heather clad glens and more recently Steven Brown with his bright vibrant colours. 

 

Well I wasn’t taking any chances, I lept over a gate to safety, dressed only in my pj’s and wellies shaking with fear, whilst Jayne and her five brothers herded the escapees snorting and panting into a nearby field! 

I don’t ever want to get that close again but that said they do look gorgeous and I just had to twist one!
